Our Executive team epitomizes the characteristics that have made South Africa one of the greatest countries in the world. We do not wait for other to do for us; we ask rather what is it that we can do for you. The Executive team consists of two members that have over 30 years combined financial and property management experience. They formed Zygote Properties to facilitate a need in the SA property market for which they felt was lacking, either through professional or personal experience.

Morne completed his articles with Ernst & Young in December 1998. His experience as the Group Financial Manager with a leader in the Steel industry (100 year old company) has resulted with numerous buy-outs and mergers in that industry. This involved various property acquisitions and the management thereof. He wants to change the way property is managed in South Africa.

“I have many mentors which keep me striving to achieve and to grow. This has lead to a transformation over the years of my life and made me realize that the great end of life is to take action. Through this belief, I’ve managed to discover the true beauty of what success is about, and thus led me into the real estate market.”

“Real Estate has now become my home. My aim is to continually strive for perfection and to deliver the best service in all our fields. To be the best means you need to be better than average, better than your competition!”

Jason completed his articles with Ernst & Young in 1997. In 1998 he joined a leading group of IT software companies and served in various roles within the Group. He was pivotal in setting up their internal audit function and moved up to a divisional financial manager within the Group. In April 2003 he left to pursue a financial and property consultancy role and joined together with the other members of Zygote.

He has audited property companies during his tenure with Ernst & Young and has been involved in aspects of Property management that were conducive in his role as financial manager. His philosophy is that success is measured by team work and commitment to that team by all members to ensure the best service to the customer.

“Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work” – Vince Lombardi
